Franco and Lea met in South Africa shortly after Lea resigned from her job in Cape Town and planned to return to Switzerland.
We then decided to go on vacation with friends to Bali, where we both knew that our story had just begun. After Bali, our paths separated for a few weeks before Lea came back to South Africa for a few months to stay with Franco. Due to visa restrictions, Lea had to return and wait for her work visa to be issued. Little did we know that COVID had other plans, and Lea was stuck in Switzerland for 8 months. Once the South African border opened to the public, Lea flew back to South Africa, and Franco and Lea were joyfully reunited.
A year later, Franco took Lea to Knysna, where he proposed to her on the beach. After we popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate, we found ourselves surrounded by baboons and had to wade into the cold water until they left.

We are overjoyed to share this special moment in our lives with you, and your presence at our wedding is truly a gift in itself.
Switzerland holds a special place in our hearts, and it’s where we’ve chosen to begin our new life as a married couple. However, logistics being what they are, we’ve come to the realization that traveling back to Switzerland with a lot of material possessions will be quite challenging.
Therefore, we would be very grateful for any monetary contributions in place of traditional gifts.
Thank you for being a part of our journey.
We invite all our guests to request their favorite dance floor tunes, so we can keep the party grooving with the beats that make you move!
